The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), is an educational program for students between the ages of 11 to 16 around the world as part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. MYP is intended to prepare students for the two-year IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).
A pre-IB course is not an approved IBO course. It is offered by IB schools for up to a year before starting the Diploma Programme at age 15 or 16 and is designed explicitly for students who want to be prepared for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
The pre-IB course is intended for students:
- who require further academic preparation before starting the IB Diploma
- who need to improve their English language before starting the IB
